Psychotherapy

Unearth long-standing past patterns & behaviors, enabling you to make healthier choices about your present and future.

I believe the client is the expert in their life. I uphold the social work ethical standard of self-determination within my clinical practice setting. My training has prepared me to apply a psychodynamic framework with special attention to Attachment Theory and Trauma Theory. I utilize a trauma conscious social work perspective and somatic-based interventions within my practice.

I believe the therapeutic alliance serves to establish an environment of relative safety for those I work with conveying possibility, hope, and healing. I emphasize strengths and work to enhance the developmental capacities of individuals through careful listening, mutuality, and empathic attunement. I believe the therapeutic process fosters the development of authenticity, knowledge of internal, physiological-based sensations, balanced emotional states, flexible thinking, coherent narratives, and new ways of relating to the self and others.
