The Seven of Swords

Every week, I engage in a practice where I shuffle my tarot cards and ask 'what energy do I need to bring into this week?” Sometimes, the card and interpretation immediately make sense to me, and sometimes, like this week’s pull, I have to spend more time making meaning of the card. The seven of swords is typically interpreted as a card of deceit where the truth is being hidden or masked.

The interpretation of this card can be tricky in and of itself, as there are many ways to understand this card depending on the interpreter. What story shows up for you when you see this card? Diversion? Reclamation? Deceit?

This uncertainty is a lesson to embrace.

My struggle to find a clear conclusion about the meaning of this card invites to me to consider the importance of gathering more information before making certain conclusions about the intentions of others.  Or, perhaps there is something in my life that I need to reclaim. Maybe there is a complex situation that I am learning to embrace. I don’t know just yet. This card invites more questions than answers, and sometimes that’s a helpful place to be.
